City of Clovis
Mayor’s Letter
We are delighted you have chosen to attend this year’s 112th Clovis Rodeo.
The Rodeo has deep roots in Clovis. This heritage speaks to Clovis’ value of hard work, respect for the land, and spirit of togetherness. This is more than a City, it is a place to call Home. We are grateful for and sincerely thank all the men and women who built and made Clovis what it is today.
We would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Jeff Witte, this Year’s Grand Marshall. Jeff is a long-time Clovis resident and was a 30-year City employee in our City. He exemplifies the goodness Clovis offers.
This year’s Rodeo is especially significant because it coincides with America’s 250th Birthday. The City, along with the Rodeo Association, wants everyone to embrace this spirit of independence, innovation and patriotism during Rodeo Week. We hope you will celebrate this incredible milestone with us as we rededicate ourselves to this Nation and to the Clovis Way of Life.
We have a once in a lifetime moment upon us. Our children and grandchildren will never see another 112th Rodeo and 250th Anniversary. This is it. These moments shape how people relate to Clovis and to America. This year’s Rodeo will be meaningful because of our conversations, shared moments and stories. What a unique opportunity to inspire and pass our story onto the next generation.
We hope you explore all that Clovis has to offer.
Thank you for being here and God bless you all.
Vong Mouanoutoua
