Five young women are competed for the title of 2008 Miss Clovis Rodeo. They included Markie Battaglia, Sophia Fisher, Anne Katuin, Shanah Ogden and Blair Smittcamp. Markie Battaglia came out on top and was crowned by 2007 Clovis Rodeo Queen, Ashley Hoffman.
Miss Clovis Rodeo 2008 receives multiple Scholarships to use toward her education, a silver buckle, and crown commemorating her reign as Queen, and many other valuable prizes.
The first and second runners up will also receive scholarships, along with other awards.
Along with creating great memories, all contestants receive valuable gifts just for competing for the title of “Miss Clovis Rodeo.”
In addition, the “2008 Miss Clovis Rodeo Queen” represents Clovis in the “Miss California Rodeo Contest” at the Salinas Rodeo in July. She will represent the Clovis Rodeo Association for one year, and return to hostess the contest at the 2009 Rodeo.
