Make Plans to Attend
the 2009 Clovis Rodeo - April 23rd - 26th |
|
Welcome
to the 95th Clovis Rodeo!
|
Thank you Clovis Rodeo fans for making the 94th a record-breaking year!
On behalf of the Clovis Rodeo Association members and board of directors, thank you for joining us and continuing to share in our community’s rich western heritage. We had more than 30,000 fans walk through our rodeo gates this year, our biggest audience ever since we went to a four-day rodeo six years ago. The PBR Copenhagen Challenger Tour saw a record crowd for our opening night of 6,500 fans.
Thursday’s PBR performance was followed by more rodeo action and a concert by award winning Emerson Drive on Friday night with rodeo action continuing throughout the weekend. After more then a month of rodeo activities including the 8th annual Ranch Rodeo, Jackpot Roping, Kowboy Kids Day at the Mall or the Queen’s horsemanship competition Clovis Rodeo fans were ready for us to deliver a non-stop, high impact show. We hope you will agree - that’s what we delivered!
The Clovis Rodeo Association is a nonprofit, all volunteer association that prides itself in giving back to our community. The Rodeo and related events make it possible for us to contribute more than $100,000 annually back to the community. Your support of the Clovis Rodeo will make camp possible for the Boy Scouts, buy a new bloodmobile for the Central Valley Blood Center, fund
4-H and FFA projects throughout our valley, contribute to the Community Medical Centers Guilds’ efforts and help the Fresno State Rodeo team maintain the future of our sport. We are proud to support more than eighteen local charities, service clubs and non-profits with the proceeds from rodeo.
Thank you, rodeo fans, for making a difference in our community and supporting the Clovis Rodeo and our western way of life. We look forward to having you help us celebrate the 95th Clovis Rodeo next year. Always the last weekend of April – we’ll see you April 23-26, 2009!
