Dr. Troy Ford - Clovis Rodeo's Official Veterinarian
Veterinarian Dr. Troy Ford
Dr. Troy Ford celebrates his ninth year with the Clovis Rodeo. He has been involved with the rodeo since he was a youngster, growing up on a ranch near Marshall Station, in the Prather area, east of Clovis.

Naturally, the PRCA requires a veterinarian to be on site for all performances and slack. Consequently, Troy keeps very busy during the Clovis Rodeo weekend.

Troy graduated from the UC Davis Veterinary School. He spent his internship and residency in surgery at the University of Pennsylvania - New Bolton Center. He gained experience in such renowned places as Aqueduct and Belmont race tracks in New York and Lexington, Kentucky.

Prior to his return to Clovis in 1991, Troy was an assistant Professor of Large Animal Surgery at Texas A&M Veterinary School. He is presently the sole owner of Troy Ford Veterinary Surgery Center, where he practices in his state-of-the-art hospital, located here in Clovis.
Troy and mis wife, Mardee, have three sons: Steven, Matt and David. They reside north of Clovis, enjoying all the "Clovis Way of Life" has to offer. Once again, the Clovis Rodeo Association extends a hearty welcome and a thanks to Troy as our Official Veterinarian again in . We appreciate his past efforts and support, while looking forward to a long lasting relationship. Working together, it's our mutual goal to keep the Clovis Rodeo, one of the best!
